Jonathan S. Greene is the founder of the Greene Law Firm.  Mr. Greene is the first attorney to serve as both the Chair of the Maryland State Bar Association Immigration Law Section and the Chair of the Washington, D.C.-Maryland-Virginia chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association.  Mr. Greene has more than twenty years of experience in immigration and family law.


Mr. Greene's Immigration Experience includes the following:

•    Former Chair of the MSBA Immigration Law Section

•    Former Chair of the AILA Chapter for Washington D.C., Maryland and Virginia

•    Past AILA national board of governors member

•    Former Immigration Law adjunct professor at Stevenson University

•    Longtime advocate on immigration issues before the Maryland General Assembly

•    Recipient of the 2008 AILA Washington D.C. Chapter Advocate of the Year Award

•    Seminar speaker for the American Law Institute-American Bar Association

•    Served as Expert Witness on Immigration Law issues in Federal and state court cases

Mr. Greene's Family Law Experience includes the following:

•    Twenty years of trial and appellate courtroom experience

•    Presented Family Law Seminars through the Maryland Institute for Continuing Legal Education and the National Business Institute

•    Former Co-Chair Domestic Violence Task Force of the Public Justice Center

•    Worked with the American Bar Association Commission on Domestic Violence

•    Published articles in Maryland Bar Journal, Maryland Family Law Monthly, and Maryland Domestic Law Report


Mr. Greene is admitted to practice before the Maryland Court of Appeals, the U.S. District Court for Maryland, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and Sixth Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court.  Mr. Greene appears in Immigration Courts and before the Department of Homeland Security in offices throughout the United States.
